(DALLAS, TX – AUGUST 1, 2017) – LiveAirShowTV is teaming with the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base to help celebrate the installation’s 100th anniversary with a live television broadcast covering the air show performances and telling the historic base’s stories with vignettes throughout the day. Coverage begins Friday, August 18, continuing both Saturday and Sunday, on LiveAirShowTV.com and other outlets to be announced. The broadcast will also be seen on video walls and selected VIP chalets at the event.
The air show features the USAF Thunderbirds, the Navy F/A-18, A-10, The Horsemen, Trojan Horsemen, Mike Wiskus, JacquieB, Greg Colyer, the Misty Blues and other top performers.
As with other 2017 LiveAirShowTV broadcasts, live in-cockpit video from OnBoard Images will be featured thanks to flight academy MzeroA.com. “We had great success with our sponsorship of the live on board video at this year’s SUN ‘n FUN and we’re are excited to help bring this feature to the Selfridge show!”, said MzeroA founder Jason Schappert.

Selfridge Air National Guard Base flight operations began on July 8, 1917 and has been in continuous operation ever since. It is named for Lt. Thomas Selfridge, the first-ever Airman killed in an aviation accident. Today, the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard is the host unit at the base supporting more than 40 different tenant organization including components of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Customs and Border Protection.
